Country Wedding

I had the honor to attend my good friend’s country themed wedding this weekend and it was PERFECT!!  They did everything themselves and stayed on budget, which was tight to begin with.  I am so happy for them and now they can enjoy their honeymoon to Mexico without worrying about any wedding day bills…how cool is that?!

I thought I’d share some of their special day’s ideas and decorations here 🙂

She ordered her Daisies from the grocery store, if you can believe that!!  They were gorgeous!  Daisy bunches were hanging on a few pews at the church and were bundled and placed on little tree branch tri-pods at the altar.  So delicate and pretty.  They were also placed in mason jars wrapped in burlap at the tables and hanging on fence posts.

The buffet and cake tables were adorned with vintage mirrors, white draperies, and paper lanterns…so shabby chic and elegant for the barn reception.  LOVE IT!  And did you see in the photo, the napkins and forks were placed in metal buckets hanging from a 3-fold planter stand….what a great idea to save valuable table space!!

The wedding favor, a tiny jar of jelly for each guest to take home placed in baskets in a rustic, metal trowel farm tool.  The sign above it says “Spread the Love”.  And the new Mr & Mrs had their own table, complete with a “love” flag banner.

Also, to the right of the barn doors, see those old window frames?  They posted photos of the bride and groom through the years and their wedding invitation.  What a fun and rustic display!

Last detail for this country wedding…the triangle flags with their names draped across the barn entrance and the rustic wreath with their last name initial hung above the barn doors.

And I had to share the wedding cake table…so pretty and delicious!!
